Goblin Slayer

I just stubled upon this little game called Goblin Slayer. It's a free game you can download here, with very nice tiles to print, and popup characters (of course you can use your HQ mini's).
Alternatively you can have it pre-printed and shipped in a nice box here.

mmm I love them hexes. My first RPG type game (which was alot more battle and less RPG) was FASA's Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat; there was something about those clear colored plastic hex stands. They were so cool so precise. Allowing much better movement than the standard fwd-bck left-right.



But I think the squares work fine for HQ. The only thing is movement using 2 dice; someone gets snake eyes then someone else gets 12. Really. I'm far more in favor of set movement.

Hello sjeng, this game sounds fun, have you already tested it ? What's the game mechanic like ? I read it's about a dwarf that explore caverns of goblin and wo must recover an artefact, but how are the combat ?

awww - poor knight is a-feared of little hexes.

Me personally, I love hexes. They allow for all around movement without having to account for
any extra space required for "diagonal" movement. Honestly...hmmm....maybe I'll keep my thought to
myself....

nah...honestly, hex movement in HQ would make the game just a little bit better, if that's possible.
Then the heroes (and monsters, I supposes) wouldn't need to worry about not moving diagonally.
And any weapon that allows for diagonal attacks would then allow for 1-space away attacks, instead
of only adjacent.

I was searching on googel for images for swords. Then I found a page with some guy's doodles about castles, swords, monsters etc. Then I checked the page URL's base page (removed stuff after the .com/....) and that got me on a site about games. On that site I found a link to this game. Amazing what you can stumble upon
