That's easy. Do you still not understand the ways of GW?
Here's the horrid truth for those who have high hopes in this company:

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO GIVE THEM AS MUCH MONEY AS YOU HAVE.
THE MORE THE BETTER.
THE RICH KIDS WILL BE BETTER AT PLAYING WARGAMES THAN THOSE MEEK OF MONEY.
YOU HAVE MORE CHANCES OF WINNING A GAME AFTER YOU SPENT MORE MONEY ON MODELS THAN YOUR OPPONENT.

Truth over. Sheesh.

Wow, this amount of hate, just because you don't like the toys a toy company is selling. wooo hooo :)
In fact, I am really curious how it is going with that game now.

I was reading warhammer forums in the lunchtime break today. Apparently it is not going too bad. Tournament players don't like that game anymore, but the rest doesn't have a problem as it seems. To be honest, that surprised me a little bit.

Dream Scenario:

1.) AoS flops spectacularly
2.) GW goes out of business
3.) IP is for sale
4.) MB buys rights to IP
You see where I'm going with this?
5.) All rights to both HeroQuest and the Warhammer world is in the hands of MB
6.) HeroQuest is revived
7.) Re-release of original packs
8.) Finally completion and release of dwarf and wizard pack
9.) I can die happy

@ Andreas
For me personally it's not about liking the toys/minis. I DON'T like the art direction they have taken in recent years, but that's besides the point.
For starters GW has been a lousy company regarding prices and general service. The minis are overpriced. You can't really argue against that no matter how you look at it.
Now they take a game system that people has spent up to 32 years (holy *lemony goodness* is it that old? (Holy *lemony goodness* am I that old?)) playing and basically cancel it.
This comes after several editions that has basically forced players to buy new models each time to keep up.
The hatred is understandably and justified in my opinion.

Anderas, you always call "hatred" when somebody says something negative about a company you back.
Is it cause you feel like your naiveté is unravelled?
Read my post before the last and try again.

It's not hatred, it's holding up a mirror. Economical facts made obvious by company behavior.

:D in fact I feel the same about prices, design, background stories and game balance. I don't like that company. At all. Anymore. After 15 000 points of space orks the game suddenly gets unplayable.

I had good games afterwards, but because of a ton of house rules we implemented in our club. Not because of GW.

It is just not my way to hate people or companies who obviously don't understand their customers and the reason why their product sells. I think it's a pity that there is no fan system for that game like for warmahordes. Thats all.

Goblin King,
in fact yesterday evening I dreamed buying the Heroquest brand worldwide and reviving the sale. A new Hero, five to ten new cards, and two or three new quests written by a good storyline author, for the first three expansions. Or some monsters. With terrain that is either paper printable for free or in the deluxe variant it comes from Thantos.
Wouldn't cost more than a couple of millions.
Introduction of colored dices (not the stamped ones, but real ones) slowly, expansion by expansion.
Work together with Michael Moorcock for the Background so that GW couldn't piss on me even if they try hard.
Relaunch the Base Game with a little bit more modern models.
Find a compromise with Gamezones in order that they don't die, but afterwards don't do any move without my acceptance either.

My salary is not in that range, sadly.

That dream would have been perfect had you utterly DESTROYED AND CRUSHED Gamezone to death. I shall try to dream that tonight and fix that for you ;)

New character: "The Sage of Igmar"

Summary: A formerly respectable merchant who went mad with visions of the return of the Witch Lord and the ensuing End Times. One day he started substituting his wares with his own excrement while insisting that it is every bit as good as the prior batch. Having immediately alienated his best customers, he now begs and peddles his "wares" in the shadow of his former residence just a stones throw from the emperor's palace. He will offer predictions derived from half truths (which are completely wrong) to anyone who will listen.
Has resigned from the forum and would delete his account if he could.

LOL

That gave me a good laugh.

how apt
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

At least he offers new gold paints to nicen up the excrement.
It costs 4,50 € for 12 ml. There's another merchant king from Spain who offers 17 ml for 2,50 € to slap over other merchants' excrement.
