His evil bro Elwick you have to fight and you can also play him in some quests before the haunted forest omen he launches as a normal character !
Image
The figurine comes with 2 elements he wears when he's evil (monster) : a living cape & a scepter
Image
You can play it without those 2 elements (artefacts you can get in the quests) as a normal & additional character too for your own quests.

Well the gameboard was supported by a official website with a video game to win a new floor tile to print and also some new artefacts & spell cards.
(I have the archive)
I really wanted them (Hasbro) to continue this boardgame because contrary to HQ, they have tested the game before and it was a excellent challenge.
I don't know what happened to the figurines, may be WOTC didn't want to give them the real D&D figurines they had to not loose money but they really missed the opportunity to become popular as Games Workshop became with Heroquest launch in the '90 and … worldwide !

The basic box + one expansion turned around (into supermarkets) at 35€, alone a expansion cost was about 15€ and the main system box was at 25€ …

Nope. And I thought everybody knows I don't paint. Yet.
If I ever do, the Forbidden Forest minis - though very useful for HQ - are last, cause I don't wanna botch them.
This expansion goes for 60-80 Euros in Germany, 40 in the UK...

I should have picked these boxed sets up back in the day if I would have known I could have used those mini's right about now. But at the time these products were released, I was on my anti-WOTC/Magic boycott. I am still devastated that WOTC the CCG maker purchased TSR the RPG maker.

I shutter at the thought. Now Im all better since Hasbro the board game maker bought WOTC. Oh the sweet revenge!

I actually made cut-outs for bushes, just like what is in your picture. I forget what tile thread
I put them under, however.

Anyhow...that is an awesome board game. I have GOT to find that somewhere.
