What if you could pay less for less Defensive armor & all armor was a money sink?
Behold!!!

ARMOR:
Leather Cap $60 :roll1:+Helmet $65 = :whiteshield:
Wooden Buckler $70 :roll1:+Shield $80 = :whiteshield: .
Gambeson $100 :roll1:+Chain Mail $400 = :whiteshield:
Gambeson $100 :roll1:+Plate Mail $750 = :whiteshield: :whiteshield:
EXAMPLE:
Barbarian has a Wooden Buckler & Leather Cap = :whiteshield: :whiteshield: :roll1: :roll1: defense.
Dwarf has Plate Mail, Shield & Leather Cap = :whiteshield: :whiteshield: :whiteshield: :whiteshield: :whiteshield: :roll1:

"Non metal" armor (Leather Cap, Wooden Buckler) provides 2BP each & is destroyed if both ABPs ( Armor BodyPoints) are lost. Roll a :roll1: on a 1d6 along with your normal defense, :roll1: counts as a defend.
"Metal Armor" (Helmet, Shield) provides 2BP each & is destroyed if both ABPs are lost.

Gambeson, CMail & PMail are the exception though & can increase in ABPs
infinitely.
Gambeson, CMail, PMail - 3BP = $100, 4BP = $200 etc.
$50 to repair 1BP.

Money sink city!!!

Same thing for weapons repair.
The Barbarian starts with a Broad sword 3Att and can choose to allow it to take the 1BP damage instead and now his Broad Sword is a 2Att weapon....$50 to repair. (Money sink.)

I never liked the idea of one day seeing heroes with permanent boosts to BodyPoints, MindPoints or boosts to the heroes Attack or Defense. I find it hilarious to imagine a game where my heros might have 23 BodyPoints, 11 Mind Points, 9Att & 16Def. That's a lot of dice to roll for a game this simple!

I suggest giving the heroes ABP ( Armor Body Points) that require money to replenish to be more optimal. What do you think?

That might be an interesting option. Instead of taking the wounds, you can sacrifice some defensive equipment or weapons. In a game with limited access to healing potions it would be a way to use up the cash of the players without it being too random.
