I find a lot of people ask about my armour re-balance, so I thought I'd put this here.
I find it gives a nice range of weapons and costs, and stops the heroes maxing out too quickly.
Two small changes required to use this as-written:
1. All heroes now have a base defence of 1, and start with Leather Armour.
2. Thrown weapons are not lost forever, just until the end of the quest.
Battleaxe = 550 = 4 dice, two handed, not wizard
Broadsword = 350 = 3 dice, not wizard
Dagger = 25 = 1 die, can throw
Hand Axe = 200 = 2 dice, can throw, now wizard
Longsword = 450 = 3 dice, diagonal, not wizard
Quarterstaff = 75 = 2 dice, diagonal, two handed
Shortsword = 150 = 2 dice, not wizard
Spear = 250 = 2 dice, diagonal, can throw, not wizard
Crossbow = 1000 = 3 dice shoot, not wizard or Elf
Hand Bow = 600 = 2 dice shoot, not wizard or Elf
Longbow = 750 = 3 dice shoot, two handed, not wizard or dwarf
Shortbow = 400 - 2 dice shoot, two handed, not wizard or dwarf
Sling = 200 = 1 dice shoot
Bracers = 200 = +1 die defence, not with metal armour
Chainmail = 500 = + 2 die defence, not wizard
Helmet = 150 = +1 die defence, not wizard
Heavy Robes = 350 = +1 die defence, -1 to all dice rolled for move (minimum 1)
Leather Armour = 100 = +1 Defence Die
Platemail = 850 = +3 die defence, -3 to all dice rolled for move (minimum 1) , not wizard
Shield = 125 +1 die defence, not 2-handed weapons, not wizard

I'm glad you went with using + modifiers for all the armour, it's a weird thing in the base game that it uses a flat 3 for chainmail and 4 for platemail, but everything else is a + modifier.
Do you have other modifications so that the wizard doesn't max out while everyone else still has loads of things to buy?

I added an expanded alchemist, general adventuring equipment and the Men-at-Arms (with an extra one).
If you want more (and I can't blame you), you could try this:

Very similar to mine. I'll blatantly steal parts of your price listings and adjust mine, cause I'm too lazy to calculate myself and come to the same conclusion anyway.

Bah yes i will steal this one as well let myself being inspired as well. Thanks for your list.
I will adapt it a little bit to incorporate colored dice. Didn't you have colordice equipment as well?

Yes.
I'll have to put that list together.
It actually works out nicely as much of the "advanced" equipment has limits beyond "not the wizard". With the "Enchanter's Emporium" shop for the Wizard added, along with my "Equipment" selection, it makes the whole thing quite interesting.

I am currently thinking about things like leather helmet +1 black die, for half the price of the other helmet. So price and effect are half in short term, but as you sell for half the price, in long term the effect is just a little money sink delaying the fully equipped Hero a little bit.

Great list but it needs some magic items on it.
Like say...
Magic Short Sword 2 Attack 1 White 1 Purple
Magic Great Shield +1 Purple Dice Defend
Ancient Enchanted Long Sword {This somewhat rusty weapon is but a shadow of its former glory, yet it is still a powerful weapon.} 2 Purple Dice
Modern Low Level Enchanted Long Sword 2 White 1 Black Attack Dice
Modern High Level Enchanted Long Sword 2 White 1 Purple Attack Dice
And above the shopkeepers mantle is this wonder of ancient weapon crafting skill, bejeweled and inlayed with mithril, it calls out the Barbarian with its own inner song:
The Doom Sword 4 Purple Dice Attack may use diagonal attacks. May be used by the Dwarf or Elf only as a 2 handed weapon. Wizard may not equip this ancient and powerful Long Sword Cost: "20,000 Gold coins and a nice magic weapon in trade. And I am going easy on you here Mack, I see how much you want it."

Nice ideas, but I think that's a different shop...
