Well, the idea is basically (weather it is true in practice or not) that the parrying weapon does not come near to a shield in defensive capabilities, but rather lets you make riposts and amplifies attack techniques against the enemy.

So really it should be called "Off-hand weapon", but I didn't like the look of that on a card. So all my reasoning above is really a lazy solution to be able to use the second name I came up with. :|

Those are all good ideas, but too specific for my taste. I want a name that does not say wich type of off-hand weapon you are using (even though I must choose one type for the picture...), so that you can imagine what ever you want :D
