QP-Shadows of the Past–Part 1: The Book of the Past

Postby Thrasher79 » Yesterday, 6:29 pm

Hello,
After a long period of preparation, I can now present the first quest book. As the name above suggests, it is a trilogy. The first part here consists of 5 adventures on the standard game board. The link contains the quest book, the overlays and the cards, all ready to print.
At this point, a huge thank you to the user The Admiral! He not only took over the translation but also playtested the book! Without his support, this would not have been possible! And he is still hard at work and is currently testing another book:-)
One last note: All my books are challenging! They are not for beginner groups. All the important information regarding special rules is included in the book. However, I can recommend that you also take a look at my house rules. They contain a few things that can make it easier for a group to complete my adventures. I am mainly thinking here of the level system, with which the heroes can increase their strength and intelligence points. But it is not a requirement! I don’t want to force anything on anyone.
Here is the link to the documents:

It has been a pleasure to play my little part in this, and for someone who moans about quests being too easy for our experienced groups, I cannot say this about these quests; they are a real challenge, but were highly enjoyable.

Also lots of new monsters, spells and a great system for creating potions before and after quests that was designed long before RotDM, although that system can be easily substituted if desired.

I would highly recommend these to any group looking for a quest to test their super heroes.

And with that said, I believe I have just become a Crossbowman! Fire at will!

Grin's Stone Map Slain a measly Goblin! Slaughtered an Orc! Killed a mighty Fimir! Shattered a Skeleton! Destroyed a Zombie! Unravelled a Mummy! Crushed a powerful Chaos Warrior! Smashed a massive Gargoyle! Encountered a menacing Chaos Warlock! Encountered all eight (8) Game System monsters.
