Sand Dunes of the Old King

I'm making a new quest pack and got most of it done but the name of the bad guy still eludes me and can't get a good name for him. Any suggetions? (he rules over the sands and temples lost in time by the Sands of Yesterday.)

as its a lord of sands and stuff im gonna guess theres an egyptian feel to it, so use some names of pharaohs

I wanted a pharaoh name or a god but then i would have to make a hole long story on how that figure came to meet the heroes and mentor for that mater then i thought that the heroes need to help the pharaoh with a "problem" he has but yet again same problem, story arc, so i was thinking today that the bad guy was an ancient ruler long forgotten, but there are flaws in that to, the bad guy had to gain his power by magic and he had to be immortal. So that got me to thinking what historical figure had been rumored to be immortal and know the dark arts, so i turned to Russia and looked there and found the real life Zargon.

The dude was not that easy to kill and looks scary
it does not have to him in a sense just the name. heck he could be an old ancestor of him.

What do guys think?

Hmm, I would hear the name and think of the actual person. I don't think it's appropriate. Why don't you just call him 'The Sand King' or something?

Heka-shaj "Ruler of the Sand"

"Rasputin" would make me think of the historical Rasputin, too. Even if not, it would sound Russian, not oriental.
As for an "arab" villain, how about "Djafar", the antagonist of the Thief of Bagdad and Aladdin?
