Ye Olde Inn

Hey all. I'm trying to convert Dewayne Agin's quest "The Chaos Wars" from text files and jpegs into a quest book. However, the first maps in the quest are modular cave tiles pieced together. I'm using HeroScribe to do the maps, but I'm thinking the maps might be hard to distinguish how many tiles make up corridors without adding borders around each tile. Here's the first part of the maps with and without borders around the pieces.


Which one do you feel is easier to read? Do the borders around the individual tiles make it seem like there should be a wall there? Any input is helpful.

With borders it's better me thinks. I don't see any wall problems with that

Agree with TMU. Borders are fine. It's too hard to tell which tiles to use without.

I've done a few of the quests on here that are text files and bmps. I've emailed them to drathe and he's going to upload them when he gets time. So far I've gotten Baltar's Staff, Quest for the Lichemaster, Cellars of Blood, Baltor's Library, Clash of Champions, Day of the Dead, Heroes Fortress, The Black Hammer of Titch, and The Tower of the Storm Master. Although this one might be a bit before it's done. I'm going to try to figure out how to make icons for Heroscribe for this one. There's a tile I've found in a few quests that doesn't have an icon and it's come up again in this one.

Which tile? I may already have an icon made for it that's yet to be released.

An icon exists for the second one in the current YeOldeInn Icon Pack as Alternate 5x8 room.

Oops. Wrong tile. Don't upload the Lichemaster quest yet please. I just realized I included the wrong tile. Although I guess people can trim it up. This is the one I meant:
