[Stand Alone Supplement] HQ SURVIVAL MODE - Workable?

Postby Hero_Of_Retro » December 2nd, 2013, 8:17 pm

I've been thinking about the possibility of creating new modes for Hero Quest. Like with Zombicide and MYTH, I love the idea of surviving waves of hordes, ive been working around a way to do something that will work for this game, if this has already been done. I haven't been looking well enough through the boards! Feel free to slap me, :gargoyle: Anyway, I have designed a small board, and have thought about how to get this running, by creating both card decks that will include random item drops, including monster encounter waves.. each categorised from what would be weaker to the tougher, and making all possible randomizations. Gold, potions, a scoring system that works well within the game. A re-worked Hero/Monster sheet that will balance this out so it can last and be enjoyable for a good amount of time.

I have upload a starting tile rough set for this. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater Beside it is the same pic with more details. I have thought about making more of the rooms that will fill the entire board up, one 9x9 dungeon may not be enough, and may be more fun. Perhaps this idea may work well on some other platforms, i will continue to do some research into ways it may work. Might not, but, i do like the idea of it. :D

I don't know how it would work but in theory, it's doable. :)

This reminds me some of Super Dungeon Explore. That game even had a free beta with characters.

Sweet, I will have to take a look. Asked a few other mates that have different collections of board games to see if they can help come up with anything that might help as well. Will probably be a while befor I can update this. :)
