I noticed the cardboard and instantly thought of DMScotty, any inspiration there? Card looks great.

Don't know who DMScotty is. Was using it as a HQ style board with Skylanders.
Converted it after I got HQ base game.

FYI: Quest has been updated in initial thread comment.

Eek! those three elves look seriously outnumbered. I can see several rounds of ranged fire to whittle those monsters down before the hand to hand fighting begins.

Regarding the villagers in room G, I think they need to be marked on the board so that their placement is known when they turn. This would be particularly relevent if this occurs while the heroes are in the room. Perhaps mark them on the map with three X's and use a skull counter to represent them. When they convert they are replaced with a chaos warrior. Obviosly if the conversion takes place before the Heroes arrive in the room, the CW's are simply set up at that time.

How about this?

"When a Hero opens the door to this room, place three villagers in the spaces marked X. Use a skull token to represent them. They can neither move, attack or be attacked, and appear to be convusling uncontrollably. The Chaos Sorceror will immediately begin converting them to Chaos Warriors. If the Sorceror or Fury are not killed within 3 rounds, replace the skull tokens with Chaos Warriors that may now move and attack. If an Orc from Note A reaches the door to this room, remove him from play. The conversion of the villagers begins from this point. If the Heroes arrive in this room after the conversion has occured, place a Chaos Warrior in each space marked with an X. Place the Orc in any space adjacent to the Sorceror."

Regarding the Chaos Archers, they are not standard monsters. You might want to consider making a card for them, like the Fury, or putting their stats into the quest notes?

That is a good description, but I had to continually reword it to fit everything in the map list.
Will copy that in and see how it looks.

I have made a card for the Chaos Archer, but have mentioned to replace them with any normal or Chaos monsters if the Archers arent available.

Was thinking about marking the villagers on the map.
Also want to have a CW spawn every 4 rounds at the central room entrance, but space is limited. Tempted to maybe remove the training room, but wanted something interesting in there.

They weren't Elves, they were Rangers!

Our Rangers have Rapid Shot as a skill. As long as they dont move, they roll Standard dice and can shoot that many arrows each round.
Can still roll a 1, but better than 1 shot at a time.
Lose +1 Bow bonus, but have a racial hatred bonus for Orcs and Goblins.

Was definitely fun. Had minimal melee attacks.
CWs were the toughest, plus they had Orc Archers as well. Showed how awesome Rangers are.

You could make them Orcs with a note that they have crossbows and may make ranged attacks. This is something I have seen in many quests, including official ones I think.

I would use my Orc Archers. Crossbows are for wimps! ;)
I have one Goblin with a Crossbow, but the main point of this quest is, if possible, to have loads of Chaos monsters. I have my Chaos Goblins and Chaos Orcs.
I might need to try and make the icon I used on their card and put it in Heroscribe.

Same for my Chaos Fury. There is an icon for Chaos Fury, but it looks dragonish.
Speaking of Chaos Fury, I am planning to try and put a Gargoyle head on a Chaos Warrior body.

Local eBay seller has 3 Chaos Warriors for sale. I want to have at least 8 (matching 2 full sets) so will have 2 spare to play with.

I can see how they would seriously need that in this situation!

It got intense. Kids were scared, but they planned well and supported each other.
Was a lot of fun. But will have more monsters next time

I don't see the confusion here - the letters are right next to the archers. The icon used is even the Chaos Archer icon in Heroscribe.

mitchiemasha wrote:Also, there are 2 Orcs it would need to specify which 1 or if both can potential run round. You could put the letter right next to the Orc.

The notes say one of the Orcs will run, why does it need to be specified which one instead of leaving it up to Morcar/Zargon?

So they are chaos archers, I was unsure, I'd not seen those before that's why I asked. It looked more like some kind of ogre Icon (like the chieftain).

As for the Orcs. Because it's unclear whether only 1 can attempt to run round or if both can. it should also say If 'the' Orc reaches, not if 'an' Orc, there are many other Orcs

Wait a min... I'm reading the new one. lol!!!
