Is it a joke ?

Postby HeroQuestFrance » January 15th, 2009, 3:12 pm

99 Francs Francais it means 15€ for this box....full of nothing !
I never considered this box as a expansion.Everyone did own quests. (photocopies in the nineties)
I would like to buy against the ogre horde in french than a paper box with some plastic useless inside...

I'm sure it was a money grab based on the hype and good sales of the game. Truly unnecessary as the Quest Book for the Game System came with a blank map to photocopy. The Ogre Horde Book came with icons to photocopy. The North American Books all came with maps/icons to photocopy. Using programs like HeroScribe are far more idea than any of those options. Although I did purchase a Design Kit since I'm kind of a completionist. I'd really like to get a nice boxed copy though.

its not a joke. Its a retro rip off :D
Lets not forget that this comes from the days where personal computers were good only for playing Larry and Prince of Persia.

True but it didn"t have success here in France.
Most of the buyers lost it or it has finished in dust.
I'm still working hard trying to get a copy to drathe of the rule book.(in vain)

I bought this for the bigger character sheets that came with it... Never used the actual design kit.

I designed my own character sheet. I always felt as though the character sheets were made by people who never played the game, although had some interesting ideas like adding your own motto and house/shield design. We went for a landscape design to fit round the table better, those portrait ones can take up too much space.

But going back to this

Exactly why it should be worth more.
