2023 HQ Resolution?

What is your HeroQuest resolution for the new year?

Is it spending more time playing it?
Maybe it is completing your collection?
Finish writing that custom Quest Pack?
Get the set all painted up?

Whatever it is, share it with the community and hopefully we can motivate each other to keep the love of this game going. They say resolutions usually die within the first 2 weeks of the year, but I think we can keep a HQ resolution going longer.

Mine is to spend more time actually playing it with my kids. It hasn’t made many appearances in 2022. A lot of that has to do with laziness of not wanting to get it all out and set it up. My kids love the game so I don’t want to squash that.

Great question! Mine are:

Playing more...
Painting more...
Translating more...
Creating more...

Lots of HQ plans for 2023, but probably the most important one is introducing more of my friends to the game. Fortunately, already started, and their first impressions about the game were fine, so good news by now!

Play more of the game and make custom quests and content.

So many resolutions, so little time.

Mine in no particular order

•Play more HeroQuest - due to a lack of my own players at the moment, or at least sporadic availability/motivation, I'm considering a Play-By-Post option...
•And I want to release the next few versions of my HeroQuest Gold house rules as I've fallen behind, lots of edits and playtesting done but no update for a while.
•And I also want to continue expanding my Endurance Calculator tool for HeroQuest.
•Finally and perhaps most importantly I want to get a load of my own Quests that are in scribbled note format, into a proper publication state and get them shared here!

Difficult?
I don't think I could spend more time playing. I have possibly played the most HQ of anyone in the world :ugeek:.
I think It's complete apart from the US versions of KK and RotW, Sticker book and Guardian Knight. And I am happy without those.
That is something I could do. I did my own Wizard's quest pack, but it was really just 3 homemade solo quests plus WoM. Perhaps one day I'll do one but there is just so much to play.
Heresy!

I think playing more is an excellent goal for everyone. The game amazes me how enjoyable and different I find each quest pack, and I love doing my own development for them. I acquired Dungeon Saga Origins recently, and it looks and plays in a very similar way to HQ apart from combat, but it did nothing for me.

Good luck with HQ with the kids |_P .
