Probably, and if I were designing a replacement for the BBcode on the server end, I might look at that. Here I'm just taking advantage of the fact that I can replace one image with another using CSS hacks. It is really hacky, but I'm doing it to make them bigger on the screen without the blurry lerping artifacts.
