Ye Olde Inn

Hi everybody - have a nice new year's eve and best luck in 2018!

Before the year ends, I want to make an announcement:

I know I haven't even fiinished yet the documentation of the Meeting in Flesh in July, and spent less time in the forum than I would have liked in the Inn thse days, but still..
When we did the meeting, my wife already began to talk about what we could do even better next time, next year.
Well, actually, this year's event was somewhat rushed and improvised (but still great fun), so there were some things to learn.
The main problem, however, was that I left the date open for far too long, trying to fit everybodie's schedule, but in effect preventing many people from attaining because of the uncertaincy.

So, herewith I invite every member of the Inn who wants to come, together with spouse/children/friends/family/fanclub to come to my place for a few days of Heroquest, Medieval Castles, Barbecue and overall Hanging out together
From July 19 to July 21 (Short stay / main events)
or July 13 to July 21 (long stay / more events).

I would have not thought to do it so soon again, but when even my wife (who had most of the work, second only to myself, and least of the benefit, as she never played HQ before) is in for it, I certainly am too.

Details will follow.

I won't be making it from my corner of the world. However, I've got to salute both you and your supportive spouse for once again extending your hospitality. It's truly admirable.

Well, I havn't visited the Inn for some weeks - the longest period of abstinence since I joined some eight years ago.
"Real live" doesn't loose its brutal grip, I'm still fighting the youth welfare, lost my daytime job and try to give the kids the illusion of a normal life...
Both cars broke down, debts everywhere... lawsuits, illnesses abound...

Well, since nobody replied so far (except for Daedalus who can't attend - thanks for your nice words), I cancel the event for this year - more luck next year.

Sorry things are going so poorly. If I were anywhere near there, I'd love to have gone. Hopefully things will improve for you and you'll have a really blowout event next year.

Having had some breaks from the Inn myself I didn't even see this topic before you revived it.

Sounds like everything is really going to Hell right now...
Try to stay positive even if it's hard. I really hope things soon turn around for you.

Well, you're in Germany. So I wouldn't have been able to attend even though I would have LOVED to.
I'm so so sorry to hear about your hardships. Car, job, financial woes. That's absolutely terrible.
I hope things begin to improve for you sooner rather than later.

Perhaps some of us are attending Spiel in Essen this year? I will!
