I used metal back then (normal pewter with a percentage of lead that would make modern day consumer activists faint).
I have no idea if using resin will cause problems.
The results were not very impressive to me, but this was probably mainly my own fault. I was used to casting
50mm low detail tin soldiers in metal moulds, so I think (not sure, however, it's more than 25 years ago) I did not pre-heat the moulds, used too much talkum, cut no vents, tried no vibration etc. so most skeletons lacked a leg or something.
But even when used properly, the moulds are not extremely detailed. Look closely at the faces of the skeletons on the Prince August website. This is what you can get.
The material was a black, very unflexible rubber that reminded me of car tires. This of course is not necessarily bad.
But after all, I have fond memories of Prince August, as they were the first mainstream fantasy mini producer who offered moulds ("mainstream" in mid-eighties Germany meant "distributed by Citadel Verlag").
