I don't know what Canada day is aboot.

It's aboat Canada. Duh!

My sister is couch surfing through Europe right now (she started in Hawaii, then Australia, India, China, now Europe.v she was in a pub in Scotland today, enjoying the best Guinness she's ever had and some Irish guy she's talking to decided she is the Canadian Pocahontas, which doesn't make any sense, being that she is a full blooded 'Muriken. (Scottish, Irish, English, and I think Dutch, mostly. That's Hanson, with an o, if anybody knows where that name originated)

She did not like China very much. They block Facebook and from the sound of it she's probably lucky she didn't get into any trouble.

It's the anniversary of our confederation. When several colonies joined together and Canada was established as a single Dominion of Great Britain.

Not quite. We weren't officially independant until 115 years later when our constitution was repatriated in 1982. Canada Day is Canada's birthday.
