I like the Sphere of Chaos too. It's classic.

That's my opinion as well.

Since the thread's name is "What are you working on today?" I thought I'd post some models I just finished today for a friend.
Nothing essential, although I'm really happy with the barbarian's flesh. Always had trouble making a good barbarian.

Absolutely - please don't let me monopolise this thread! :)

That barbarian is very nice! The crisp paint job makes me notice the details I missed on mine, like edges of the leather boots on him

Finding this website has been an eye opener for me. I've been playing HeroQuest since it debuted here in the US but I never realized how many talented people painted their miniatures.

It's interesting to me that the European version of HeroQuest mentioned that Citadel produced the miniatures and referenced painting them while the North American version did not.

Those looks nice Tasoe. Especially the barbarian's boots. They are a pain to paint!

While not miniatures, it's still in the realm of fantasy (The topic is not specific  )
I'e been commissioned to make a painting. Here is the sketch and a couple of WIPs.
The thing to the right is a beholder in disguise!

oh, my Goddess! that is soo cool man! Who or what is the commission for? Is it gonna be put somewhere public? So cool :D
You could use the Beholder's eye-stalks for limbs :) perhaps even 2 stalks in the helmet for eyes.
