I third this.
Also, Sjeng, your "In a nutshell" assessment of the whole deal is completely out of line and wrong in itself. Uncalled for and "childish".
If you want to get people "on your side" in a completely unrelated thread, just link them to the original thread where they will clearly be convinced themselves that half of us are idiots and the other half are not.
It was an argument, and there was at one point ONE childish post. I dare you to find it. It wasn't from chaoticprime.

The funny part is that for each person that reads it, each one will think the other half is the idiot.

I've been keeping out of this whole conversation on purpose, but I wanted to say one thing. The correct answer is that there is no single correct answer. To each his own, I say.

That's all. Peace, love, and chicken grease.

Gold Bearer wrote:Saying that you're proud to have not done something automatically implies that doing it is in some way shameful. Can you not see that it's offensive to openly that state you're proud to have chosen not to do something that other people really enjoy, especially in the context of a formal list of things you use to define yourself.

I don't see how that automatically implies that others shouldn't do it. I don't care what others do. I'm just glad I never used drugs. I personally think drugs are a bad idea. Why would you willingly pick up an addiction? It's hazardous and expensive, and most drugs are illegal as well. But that's just my opinion, as I already stated. Many times now. I'm not judging people who do use drugs, I just think it's a bad idea. And I hope my son will also see it that way.
I also told CP and anyone else reading the topic that I never intended to imply that people who do use drugs should be ashamed. If that's not acceptable for him, well, too bad. I'm not apologizing for stating something about a personal matter.
But we've discussed this in length, and I think the time has come to move on. And apparently without CP. Which, as I said before, is his decision, and his alone. Nobody asked him to leave, threatened or banned him.
I think CP's packing up and leaving over this, and taking all his stuff he posted with him, is very, very childish.

I'm with Teldurn on the simple "to each his own" approach.

I'm moving these posts to the appropriate topic, so this topic can stay on topic.

Eeehh... I dare say creating a new (now deleted) thread containing nothing but a flat out insult to another member qualifies as acting childish.
Same goes for rage-quitting and taking all your toys with you.

Demanding an apology, I feel, is also a little out of proportion. Sjeng didn't do Monica Lewinsky, break into the Watergate or call anyone the N-word while drunk (nerds).
I can appreciate people using drugs feeling hunted (well, despite any opinions it still IS illegal), but really... It's not that offensive! I really think Sjeng is having words put in his mouth.

Now... Back to the important stuff:
Gold Bearer wrote:I like the biblical punishment for snakes. "And because one individual snake has annoyed me I'm that much of an arsehole that I'm going to punish all snakes, every species, and your punish shall be that you will be forced to crawl on your bellies!" Snakes had limbs before the Fall. It's just that pretty much every single bible picture just depicts the pre-Fall snake as a regular modern snake, when really it should be some kind of lizard.
And... Soo... the bible confirms that a species can change or "evolve" into something else? 8-)

It's really funny how I can interpret a whole range of themes and motifs into this picture to take it into art canon that Goblin-King wouldn't even consider himself and much less didn't even try to convey. There's so much transgender, feminism, penis envy, gender power... I wouldn't even know where to begin.
The artist - who wasn't high at all when doing this - even has a horn hacked off the minotaur's head. The organic one. The other one, the SENMM one, still being on his head, tells us even the strongest of males should mybe rely on a little modernism to prevail. And so on.

You weren't high, eh? Not one bit.

challenge accepted I hope I found the right one while all of these previous posts by me were also very childish I did it for a reason this whole thread shows how one sided people tend to think when they feel strongly about an issue and I do not see that either side is innocent in this case. another thing that I find childish is stating you do not wish to start or prolong an argument and then posting something that if you had read the topic you would be sure is going to do just that I had hoped this issue was dead but apparently it is not for me it is an important thing I personally roleplay and game as a way to avoid drugs this forum is an escape for me everyone I know in the real world gets high except me and children under 14

I know I said I'd end this topic for me, but the can of worms got opened yet again. In another thread, moreover. To dis a person. A simple link would have sufficed for anyone to read and make up their mind. But nooo...
And do not mistake infantile humor for pissed-off childishness.

That's not entirely true. The can did not get opened again to dis a person. It got opened because someone wanted to say something about the subject again, in the wrong topic.
knightkrawler wrote:And do not mistake infantile humor for pissed-off childishness.

Exactly.

Wolfie, I guess your post was more or less in jest, but please, don't double/triple/quadruple post. Just copy the quotes you want to use, and edit your post. I've cleaned up several topics now, but this is taking much of my time. (not to mention reminding me of something I do not wish to spend any more of my time on).
And most of these quotes had nothing at all to do with the whole discussion, and so are irrelevant.
