knightkrawler wrote:Nobody was talking about entire factions. Of course these should be coherent in color scheme. Though for HQ I wouldn't even see that point as opposed to wargames.

Yeah, of course this would mainly apply to wargames, but I think the snakemen in a dungeon, or even in Morcar's army, would also normally belong to the same tribe.
I found all of these and more on the first page when googling for "snake" as suggested by BB. Go figure.
Of course they are there, but I referred to your statement that there are only two or three green species, while in fact they are a majority.

It's all about wording. In a real gaming situation, I think, we all prefer detailed and variable paintjobs over "standardized" ones.
Have a look ;)

No, I think that's an albino burmese python. The difference by the way is that boas give birth to live young, the only reptiles that do. If it's a constrictor and it lays eggs it's a python. You can also tell by the shape of their heads. Boas are more arrow head like and pythons are more rounded.

True.

if you're atheist, Knightkrawler will come to whack you on your head,

if you're a buddhist, you'll be reborn as a green snake.

I like the biblical punishment for snakes. "And because one individual snake has annoyed me I'm that much of an arsehole that I'm going to punish all snakes, every species, and your punish shall be that you will be forced to crawl on your bellies!" "How do you think we mo..." "What?" "Er nothing, never mind. I sure learned my lesson. See ya." "What a moron!"

And I love what Neil Degrasse Tyson said about snakes. An alien comes down to Earth and the only animal it sees is a snake. It goes back and tells its ET mates "There's a creature down there with no arms or legs that gets around fine, it sees using infrared and it can eat animals that are much bigger than its own head." "And how many plants did you smoke while you were down there?"

Sjeng wrote:I didn't even argue with him to begin with. He took offence to something I said, which was simply a personal opinion about myself, that I posted on the blog after receiving a Liebster award. He acted very childishly, disrespected people and their opinions, insulted me, and simply left. I didnt lose any sleep over it to be honest.
I'm sure if you were to apologise for the comment in the blog he'd come back. Do you know what his problem was and why it annoyed him? It annoyed me too. Saying that you're proud to have not done something automatically implies that doing it is in some way shameful. Can you not see that it's offensive to openly that state you're proud to have chosen not to do something that other people really enjoy, especially in the context of a formal list of things you use to define yourself. Think about how bad that would sound to you if you to say it about something that you don't look down on and you'll realise how bad it sounds to some of us.

I didn't want to make any more of an issue about this because it's a deliberately conditioned blind spot to common sense that you share with a hell of a lot of other people but now KPs left I feel I really should say something because I know exactly where he's coming from. I love to smoke weed. I love the physical sensation of smoking it and I love the psychological effect it has. Who are you to imply that you've made a better choice? Staying away from drugs is your choice and your right but it's not something to be proud of. The only way that even makes any sense is if you think you know what's best for people. How would you feel if I'd listed something that you love as something that I'm proud not to have tried?

As for being childish I think he just doesn't want to be around people that look down on him for something that they have absolutely no right look down at him for, considering he has made his own decision and the fact that your oblivious to how condescending your initial remark was proves that you haven't. I'm not saying you've made the wrong choice, I'm saying that there isn't one. Like it or not you've shown that you think there is and that's why a very active member of the community isn't here any more. I chose to let it slide and not to take it personally, KP obviously didn't.

I hope you don't take this as an attack and choose to get defensive. I'm not trying to cause an argument or even start a debate. I'm just trying to show you our perspective.
