I think it's a british thing... Oh well... I've a few more packages to go and I'll have everything I've wanted so far. Bones II will show up this time next year.

He sent it to you because you paid, and then there was the address shown to him through ebay (your unchanged shipping address), and then he forgot your request or couldn't connect it to the right transaction, and then everything was shipped, and he was like "FOOCK MAY! That yankee bloke wonted to have his stuff shapped roight proper t'this uther address in th'UK." And then he was a little ashamed and confused and won... wanted to say "Sorry, Mate." and he couldn't because ebay will not have pointless conversation through them. No, I wasn't the seller.
My point is, ebay makes conversation chaotic evil-type of difficult.

I'd agree with that except it was initially international shipping. I asked him to change it to UK shipping, which he did, and then paid with it going to UK and even had Spiky's address in there. So yeah..... Still laughed at your little blurb. I wanna like in the UK for a while. A couple of years maybe so I can laugh at all the funny accents over there. Oh well I got it and just need to get my Dwarf from Spiky.

You're into minis when...

...you keep to a uniformed scale (with standard base sized and shapes) and/or aesthetic.
...you can identify most miniatures by game line and manufacturer.
...you know the name of sculptors and original artist from your favorite line and/or manufacturer.
...you have so much of them, you use some as statues, furniture and other decoration.
...you give each generic goon, grunt and henchman a name and unique backstory, despite the fact that they die all the time.
...you have generic townfolk figures, despite the fact that they have little or no tactical value.
...you paint-up your entire Crossbows & Catapults and Weapons & Warriors sets, and folks get annoyed that you don't want to play them because in would ruin the paint-job.
...you can turn the ugliest chunk of rubber or plastic (think Mage-Knights and Dragon Strike) into masterpieces.
...you go to the toy store/aisle to look for compatible plastic animal and armymen figures to paint-up and use in your games.
...you will spend a lot of time and money at Chuck E. Cheese's (or equivalent) just to buyout their stock of hard-to-come-by plastic animal and armymen with game tickets.
...you find yourself raiding the toybox of your kids (or any other relatives you live with) for extra figures, and when you got caught, the family starts an intervention on you!
...you have filed-down the large balloon breasts, overly-swelled nipples, and pancake-like areolas (the coloration around the nipples) of your topless female figures, for the sake of realism.
...you can produce the most realistic female nude figures, despite never seeing a nude woman in person.
...you can paint a beautiful replica of the Mona Lisa on a small war banner, but when it comes to painting a full-sized painting, you can't paint for *beep*!
...you can spend all day debating the best forms of paper stand-ups/fold-ups/flats/standees/... (and another day debating the proper names for them :p).
...whenever you pass by unpainted statues and 3-D decor, you see them as incomplete as an unpainted lead figure.
...you have a garage or tool-shed full of raw materials (cardboard, plastic spores, etc.), assorted bit boxes and painting supplies, and yet your house is still a mess with such items.
...you have your own workshop for making duplicate figurines.
...you have no life, but you don't really give a damn, because that would only get in the way of your hobby! :geek: |_P

... You seriously contemplate bringing your painting supplies, minis, etc on a vacation to see family. There will be plenty of time to fill up and painting would be the best solution. Now to figure out how best to bring everything in a coherent packing system. The wife worries about clothes while the husband worries about minis...

When your family just gives in and lets you do basically what ever you want.

to wife : "Since we mostly play games at the kitchen table, I was thinking about hanging my miniature shelves here in the kitchen" *sheepishly waiting for scolding*
Wife to me: "That's a great idea that huge shelf in the basement would fit perfectly on this section of wall, and those small black shelves would fit great over here for your favorites."

Best wife ever

Sarcasm: Do you have a wife swap and/or acquisition form I can fill out? I need me one of them from the sound of it. /Sarcasm
Just make sure they are up out the way of little hands and concealable. Wouldn't want neighbors or normal people to find out about the minis.
