Of course not. Short version: in school people smoked, and if you didn't, you weren't cool. So I was part of the not-cool crew, who in my opinion were better friends than I could wish for in school. In university, people smoked weed (legal in NL), but fortunately, being older, there wasn't as much peer pressure then :)
During all that, I never felt the need or urge to try anything, not even a cigarette. And I'm happy I never did. But I already said that ;)

@KK: hm, I've never considered pride in a negative way, your defenition makes sense now. Still, not enough to justify a rampage. I wasn't offended by the way. ;)

Pride is a cardinal sin! In fact it's considered the most serious offense from which the other sins originate.
But it's understood that it's pride in the same sense as hubris. Especially to think yourself equal to God.

The more you know! |_P

FYI

Some effects of the consumption of cannabis may include a general alteration of conscious perception, euphoria, feelings of well-being, relaxation or stress reduction, increased appreciation of humor, music (especially in discerning its various components/instruments) or the arts, joviality, metacognition and introspection, enhanced recollection (episodic memory), increased sensuality, increased awareness of sensation, increased libido, increased creativity, abstract or philosophical thinking, and disruption of linear memory.

Cannabis also produces many subjective and highly intangible effects, such as greater enjoyment of food taste and aroma, an enhanced enjoyment of music and comedy, and marked distortions in the perception of time and space. At higher doses, effects can include altered body image, auditory and/or visual pseudo-hallucinatory illusions, and ataxia from selective impairment of polysynaptic reflexes.

Such effects are most often considered desirable, but have the potential to induce panic attacks and paranoia in some unaccustomed users.

By far, the most dangerous effect of cannabis is the potential to get caught. We, the people of Washington state (as well as Colorado), have decided to legalize (not just decriminalize but out right legalize!) the private consumption of cannabis by adults, including "recreational" use (how come you never hear about "recreational" drinking?).

Studies have shown that heavy use can be detrimental to children and young adults whose neural pathways and problem solving skills are still developing. Exact reasons for this are unclear. The brain works on a dopamine reward system. Most likely, repeatedly ignoring problems by smoking them away creates and solidifies neural paths teaching the brain that this is the best way to handle these situations.

A recent study involving brain scans of moderate cannabis users (the term moderate is subjective here, many would consider these people to be heavy users) showed an increase in density in some parts of the brain of some users. The study stopped there but the media likes to throw around catch phrases like "brain damage" and "irreversible" to keep disillusioned those that are still brainwashed. The fact is, no one knows what this means, and the study doesn't take into account other variables such as previous drug abuse. by the way, contrary to what we were taught, you grow new brain cells everyday.

What you put into your own body is your decision and yours alone. I only wish to spread knowledge.

Thank you for reading.

As some of you may know I spend a lot of my spare time painting.
While I have no problems at all coming up with motives, I've often wondered what it would be like to get really high and just do a lot of sketches for later use.
Would I get a lot of imaginative motives? Would I get some ideas I wouldn't come up with under normal circumstances?
Who knows?
Maybe it'll be the source to incredible ideas? Maybe it'll be crap galore?

This is my only motivation to even consider doing any kind of drugs.
I'll admit the experiment is very tempting.

There's sperm crawling up and gliding down giant rocky penises and watching a clueless female waiting to jump into her hair, which she is unwittingly protecting fingering through it. And you tell me you weren't high when doing this.

It's really funny how I can interpret a whole range of themes and motifs into this picture to take it into art canon that Goblin-King wouldn't even consider himself and much less didn't even try to convey. There's so much transgender, feminism, penis envy, gender power... I wouldn't even know where to begin.
The artist - who wasn't high at all when doing this - even has a horn hacked off the minotaur's head. The organic one. The other one, the SENMM one, still being on his head, tells us even the strongest of males should mybe rely on a little modernism to prevail. And so on.

You weren't high, eh? Not one bit.
