Thats the problem with those type of games. They can go for hours on end. Like Monopoly. I don't mind playing for hours, mind you, but I like for things to change up like they do when you start a new quest in HQ. I still enjoy a good game of Risk or Monopoly, but in most cases you usually just get tired of playing before someone actually wins.

I be loving my RISK games. Classic, 2210,God Storm and LOTR. There are two versions of the Lord of the Rings. I have one version of LOTR at my house. not sure which one.... I think its the worst of all of them.. maybe godstorm. but then again ive only played it twice and havent given it a fair chance.

2210 all the way. Nuke cards! Then run to the moon. :D

Amen to that!!!!

Johnny McHooters modded the game and created a Mars map in addition to about 15 new commanders with cards to boot! I've only played the modded game once, but it was definitely cool!!!!!!! :D

2210 sounds like a game I need to look into.

P.S. Welcome Dayio! You like Princess Bride so you are ok in my book. Image

Although I've not known him long, Dayio is a very cool guy. And even though he's only played one game of HeroQuest he really enjoyed it, and is very enthusiastic about playing more. Hopefully many, many more. Cause there's tonnes of Quests to be played!

I got my Smarties!!!! My roommate walked in with them about 10 minutes ago and one package is almost gone already! Here is my assessment of them:

-made by Nestle, and I can really tell its Nestle chocolate. Tastes like a Crunch without the crisps
-all colors taste the same (just like M&M's)
-they remind me of some chocolate eggs my grandma buys around easter, chances are they are made by Nestle as well
-its a toough decision between Smarties and M&M's for me. I'm used to M&M's, and I think I prefer Mars chocolate over Nestle. So I think I choose M&M's.
-that being said, I still think Smarties are REALLY good.

Box 1 is now empty (and I'm not dead yet). I was planning on giving box 2 to my roommate, but if he doesn't get home soon there might not be any left for him to eat.

Thanks drathe!

Wow, that was fast! The post, not the Iocaine. Glad you enjoyed them, and got them before they went stale.

Smarties ARE better than M&Ms, but I guess most people stick with what they are used to.

I also hear you guys don't have Ketchup flavoured chips down there...

Actually, that's not entirely true. They do make them, it's just hard to find. What's most popular, is the mustard flavored pretzels.

Ketchup flavored chips? Never heard of them. I'd just dip em in ketchup if i wanted them ketchup flavored, but ketchup is so boring. I'd rather have ranch. Now mustard pretzels I've had. Honey mustard pretzels are best.

I forgot to mention that my roommate ate the other box of Smarties in less than a minute. But he's fat and thats expected. He didn't die either so I'm guessing you mistook your powdered sugar for Iocane! And he says that he supposes that chocolate Smarties are real, so he guesses there might be a possibility of Canada being a real country too.
