Well, before they were G-Force: Guardians of Space or Battle of the Planets, they were an iconic 1970's anime call Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It paved the way for other super sentai* teams, like Beast King GoLion (which was used for Voltron: Defender of the Universe) and the tokusatsu** Super Sentai franchise (which the Power Rangers franchise were based off of). It was also a violent series! Jun (the chick), for example, was a trained assassin, and would kill goons with a razor-sharp yo-yo and a gymnastics ribbon. (Oh and if you don't like extreme violence, then avoid GoLion at all costs!)

did some research, and it turns out gatchaman was later remade into battle of the planets, then g-force, then 2 other remakes... weird! Never seen any show with so many remakes in such a short timeframe. And when you look at them, there's barely any difference!
