Arcane Spells Art Request

I recently stumbled across this ancient bit of treasure:

And I was thinking, this is a pretty cool idea!

So, anyone want to make some card art to match up with this? Seems like it could be a simple 3 spell set to add to the ever expanding glory of HeroQuest homebrews.
The main thing would be a good card back (because I'm terrible at those). I'm sure I could recycle some of the classic art into the card fronts if needed, but new stuff would be cool to see.

how do you imagine this art?

Something like this:

Card back: would have a wizard with one hand out, pointing with a single finger, firing off an arcane bolt (arcane arrow), the bolt would be small, about the length of his forearm, teardrop shaped, but extremely streamlined with the fat end forward, magical energy fuzzing off the edges. Think diablo-style firebolt, but more streamlined, less fuzzy, and colored different, blue maybe? His other hand would be outstretched, palm facing away, a few inches off the palm there would be a ethereal, transparent looking magical shield, color matching the arcane bolt, (going for arcane shield here in place of the arcane armor). The wizard himself would be our classic original HQ wizard, background should feature some sort of active combat or dungeon

Card fronts - would be black n white, as I use NA-style
Arcane bolt: as described above
Arcane shield: as described above
Arcane speed: (I'd probably nerf the original effects, but anyway) Wizard running down a dungeon hallway with magic glowing off of his feet and trailing out behind him.
