Interesting. This is one thread where a post from me disappeared.

Anyways, I like that quest very much.
Even with the boulders instead of my wraith idea, which would also be nicely incorporated here.

But did some comments disappeared from this post?
I think the problem of the heroes blocking the gargoyle way out still exists. So you should add his stats. Because even if you remove the last door a hero can reach his back by using Veil of Myst.

Yes,
even the corrections to the Quest layout were disappearing and replaced with a former version. And I host those on flickr and deleted the last version. Must have been still in the cache of my computer somewhere.

Lestodante, if the Gargoyle needs to fight, he has Gargoyle stats. If the Heroes manage to take him out, then it will miss the next round, that's ok. Nevertheless, I add yet another monster. If they use veil of mist to place a hero in the back of the Gargoyle, between the Beast man and the Gargoyle, well maybe then they deserve to win. :)

I totally love what you've done so far, but if you wanted to take it a further step toward Donkey Kong, you could have the boulders go right at the top, then down, then back left across the middle, down again, then back right along the bottom. You could use that "middle room with chasm" overlay and say the heroes can knock the boulders off either side of the walkway!

I was just reading the topic a bout stone doors here: Stone Doorway question
So, considering that open a stone door may count as an action, it is important to decide or to allow the hero to make one extra step after he succeed to open the door:

lestodante wrote:Considering the quest in the HQ25 anniversary pack (the one from this forum I mean) Q9 The King of Dawn: A New Found Enemy (part I) by Anderas
we should allow at least 1 more step to the hero who open the stone door so he can step inside and be safe (or at least hope to be safe).
In that quest there is a stone door on the left corridor; the giant stone boulder will come rollin' against the heroes and they can try to progress by walking through the corridor, open the stone door and jump inside the room or the boulder will stomp them.
So I will consider this option: move - open the door - 1 more step to enter the room - end of the turn.

It's kind of harsh, yes now that you say it... I was playtesting it with a normal door.
I have to test it again, maybe afterwards I take your suggestion or replace it with a normal door.
