im tel fromthe uk
where to start?
i remember i was a kid at christmas and there was a large box for me under the tree and opening my copy of heroquest (i also got Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord with it
i was only about 7 and it was the best thing since sliced bread!
i forced everyone to play it with me and i mean everyone, to the point that they all got bored of me asking
it was my introduction to all things mythical and it has been one of my most loved possessions ever since, surviving teenage mutant ninja turtles and every other fad after it.
it got me into warhammer along with battle masters(also a GW-MB joint venture)
but because no-one would play it with me it soon got put under my bed for a very long sleep! many many years later after college i had an accident that ment i could no longer work where i was and needed to get a new job and endeded up working at a GW store.... it had its ups and downs and eventually i left but made many cool friends- whilst i worked there i was a store manager and would oftern refuse to play the games and only paint the models, because although i had people wanting to play games i found many of them fun spounges, killing the fun from the game for the win and leaving the story somewhere in question, and thats what i found was the bit i was lacking....the story, the drama!
many of my GW friends found HQ a bit antiquated so would rather play WHQ or something else...(ok i know i'm ramberling now)
after i left GW i was out for about 5 years then went back to uni.
then from nowhere i found myself staring at a copy of AHQ on ebay- next thing i knew i had won the bid and coincidently thats when i first appeared on here, but there was also a stark realisation that although i have owned the game for many years i have never played it properly!
so there it is, i'm a gamer with loads of models, both complete copys of HQ and AHQ but noone to play with! but at least i can talk about it again
