I guess as a newbie here I should introduce myself. My name is Dave, I am 41 and have been playing roleplaying and board games since junior high school.
I visited this page probably ten year ago or so, and I am quite surprised to see it still up and running and with a forum none the less. I have three children who love playing miniture and role playing games and I was looking for some inspiration for a new Heroquest dungeon, quite the surprise to find myself back here after so many years.
Anyway that's me and since I love forums and Heroquest I will be here quite often now.

Wow. KK can be so...articulate...for an 8-year-old! 
And welcome! I'd like to know what you play with your kids. I play stuff with my. 6 yo and he loves it. Games like HQ, Space Hulk, dungeon! Dungeon Run, Dungeon Roll, Castle Panic, etc. actual RPG is a little too complicated for him yet. And by him, I mean me.

My children are 6,9, and 12. All three play in a family game of Basic D&D (80s rules where elf is a class). We have played Battlemasters, Heroquest, Heroscape, Battleball, Battletech, Munchkin, and D&D in all forms up to 2nd edition. My older son and 6 year old daughter play a lot of Ultima Online mmo on free servers and we have a library of over 50 pen and paper rpgs.
My 12 year old son joins our weekly 2nd AD&D game played with my wife and 4 of our friends. At some point the gaming group will try Heroquest as none of the non family members have yet to play it. I hope to build a 3d stackable dungeon where we will remove each level as the players finish it till we reach the bottom. When I begin construction I will post pictures of progress and eventually the game play as well.
Games we have but haven't tried yet include Lionheart, Dragonstrike, and many rpgs waiting on the shelf for their chance to take the spotlight.
And KK most 8 year olds are "way more cooler" than an old school 41 year old gamer, but I make for an awesome dad
