Welcome gunzhard. I wish you luck on getting a copy. Times are getting expensive for HQ but you'll find one.

Greetings from Rhode Island!

I've been a fan of Hero Quest for a long time. I own two sets, plus or minus a few pieces. I've played through, with the help of my brother, the entirety of Slev's Hero Quest Revised, but now no longer have time for wholesale Questing. I'm an epic-level lurker with a penchant for calculations and game balancing. With luck, I'll have more to contribute to this forum than words at some point!

Welcome!!

@Gunzhard-
You may want to check out Craigslist and the Boardgamegeek.com marketplace. With some luck, you'll do better than Ebay.

Played a little AHQ back in the day, as well. Glad to hear you want to try HQ, it should be a fun ride.

@Count Mohawk-

I hope you have seen the thread about monster slaying cost. I found it very useful to reference when figuring the point values for monsters in my balancing system. (Still gotta post the reworked results, however.)

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share that the site is great and the resources are excellent. I hadn't played HQ in quite a long time but I was telling my son how cool this game was. We were lucky enough to get a decently used but complete copy. He was hooked as soon as we started checking out the contents of the box. A few quests later and we're already thinking about new adventures and miniatures to add. Anyways, thanks!

Welcome. Tons of great stuff to be found and had here. As Deckard Cain would say

Stay a while and listen.

Hello, my name is Jeff Moore and I just joined the forum. I am a huge HQ fan and have just begun work on a (planned) 16 board level quest pack based on the first (original) Diablo computer game by Blizzard. I am pretty excited about running the campaign as I think DIablo and HeroQuest are an ideal fit. I will share the link to my work as soon as I can find the information telling me how. I am excited to be a member of this community.

So are you going to stay a while and listen? There are plenty of us here that actually drink water. There's also a few people that'll share their secrets for the right price.

Sorry but had to get those references in there. Welcome! You'll find lots of good people here. Hope to see your Diablo based inspiration. I'd love for my players to open a door and have an audio clip on my phone play "AHHHHHHH, fresh meat!". That would just be ^ (geek raised to the ubergeek) level. Are you going to have cows?
