Now that I have a kid who is getting old enough, I was thinking about what to play with him. I miss the all-night D&D sessions of my youth, but really didn't want anything that...involved. So I scored some HQ on craigslist. My son and I both love it....
Hello, and welcome. I don't know how old your boy is, but I imagine it's not much fun playing all four Heroes by himself. (Then again, who knows?) How do you work things out?
by the way, I'm jealous you have a boy. I'm not sure if my girl will be for fighting monsters when she's old enough to play. I may have to trick her with Quests like
The Rescue of Princess Ragna.

My boy is 6, but he's pretty precocious. He understands the basic, standard details/stats of rpg's pretty thoroughly. So yeah we have fun.
As for the 'how we work it out'.. That's actually part of the reason I'm here...to ask advice on a better way. I think I'll start a new thread, tho for all that. But until now, we've only done a couple quests. The first one was cake just playing a sole barbarian. The couple since, I just reduced the numbers of baddies. I'm a little bit of a pushover Zargon too. I'd rather see him complete a quest and have fun than kill his hero, flip the board over, and scream 'in yo' face!' (Although that might be fun too, heheh)
I'm expecting yet another future gamer any day now. Another boy, so...Sorry, I have no wisdom to offer about girls. Something really does go haywire with them somewhere along the line LOL.
