Here's a question:
Do you actually "see" anything "lizard-like" in Fimir or do you just take word for word the slumpy literature that was HeroQuest, EU 1st edition?
I hereby ask the same question concerning Fimir and "greenskin"?

For the theme, I just assume that Kobolds and Fimir work together. That does not mean in the least that the two races have to be both "lizard-like" or evolutionarily related.

Show me one place where they're clearly represented as "lizardlike." Lizards have at least two eyes and they have scales. They are rarely actually green in-color. No species of lizard has a mace for a tail.

What are you talking about with sabotage? When you cast a vote to raise a candidate's position, you are also voting not to raise the positions of every other candidate. There are five candidates in this election, but you get to vote three times, and only once per candidate. Unless the voters choose to have one, two, or three elites, it cannot be ruled as an impartial system. In fact, if you favor only a single candidate, voting for one or two others can actually reduce his chances at getting elected. Further still, votes need not be cast within a regulated window. You can cast each of your three votes on three separate occasions. You can also see the results as they populate. This means that I could theoretically hold on to votes so that I can scale influence by observing the polity as its in action. Also, Goblin-King's cheating. He's cheating on a system that is already hopelessly incapable of the task set forth for it. That's some gangsta-$hit, right there.

We are in fact voting for two sets, that's why we opted for two votes (not 3?).
You make it sound as if you can down-vote something. Let's say I didn't want the Chaos theme. My best bet would always be to vote for my two favorites?
Perhaps if you had a feeling another slightly better option was close behind you could vote for that to make it run ahead of chaos.
As I see it, the only insincere vote you can cast is if you really want something but sense nobody else does.
Like, I really really want ogres, but I sense no one else does, so instead of wasting my vote I vote for the next best thing? Is this what you mean?

It is never stated anywhere they are greenskins (ork-noid/goblinoid, whatever)! Just that they sometimes leed orcs and goblins. (See top pic)
This fact combined with them being made of green plastic makes it easy to assume that they are greenskins though. Which they are not. Case closed as far as I'm concerned.

As for the reptile part. Let me turn the question around. If you were told explicitly undeniably that they were reptilian, would you say "BS! There's nothing reptilian above them at all"?
I mean, yeah... They have those beaked heads, barbed tails, no hair, brown/green skin. I certainly could believe them to be reptilian yes.

But mostly I assume the HQ lore to be true in regard to HQ.
All that being said, I don't even mind if they are reptiles, mammals, demons or birds.
They are a strong race that hate sunlight. I can easily imagine them in alliance with kobolds.

So, yeah...

Sure, why not. In the confined universe of HQ, that's the only info we get.
You are assuming that HQ fimirs are the same as WH fimirs. Look at how orcs and orks are two very similar, yet quite different races in fantasy/40k.

Anyways, reptile-like can mean many things. It doesn't have to be in the same degree that skaven are rat-like = straight up anthropomorphic rats

I could care less whether they are reptile or what-have-you the two I like are in the lead and that's what counts for me. Rulebooks may state one way but we houserule stuff anyways and I houserule that they become magical beast-thingies. I just want Chaos and Dragon-whatnot's to win.
