Blue stuff thermoplastic mold with milliput to make old tomb guy to put in new tomb:

You could use oyumaru instead of blue stuff.

It helps that the classic tomb guy is just the right size, so you only have to cut at the outer line. It's almost like it was designed for this.

What I'd really like is a scan of the classic tomb guy so I could modify it and turn it into a standing one, as if he got up to fight or hasn't died yet. I would just need to re-position the legs further apart, level the feet, and sculpt the back. I could also make an empty version of the bed or whatever you call it.
