That Zombie is indeed awesome.
But the marble floor has to be mentioned too. That base looks amazing.

This is what was in the box! And my photography is not doing it justice. The whole figure is beautifully done. The rust on the axe! The green highlights! And the marble tile! Wow, that is impressive.

And, yeah.. All of the minis look great this year! This has been a lot of fun! |_P

I want to comment on how amazing this mini is (because it is)... But what we really need is picture of this guy in some natural light!

How was the marble base made? Toothpick through watery paint?

Way more beautiful than my own marble technique, which is layers and ayers of very wet paint put on sloppily on top of each other with varying brush types, sizes, and techniques, and painting in the veins in between these layers with a fine brush.

1. Clean layer of Bleached Bone
2. Thin stripes of Beastial Brown with fine brush
3. A couple of lines with Agrax Earthshade
4. A thin drybrush with Bleached Bone. It must be so thin that the brown lines still shine through. This gives it that diffused stony look.

So it's actually pretty quick and easy.
I was pretty surprised myself how good it looked, but that's a big part of what Christmas Exchange is all about to me.
You get to experiment on a one off miniature that doesn't need to fit in with the rest of your set.

Great technique. Although you gave yourself away, didn't you?
So is it ok for me to mod my post and name the sender?

Yeah, I think the general consensus was that enough time has passed. Glad to see it finally arrive!
But maybe just repost the picture along with the name - that way it'll be easier for ANDERAS to collect them all in the OP ;)
