Hi I mentioned this kickstarter in another thread several months ago i think it looks superior to other similar kickstarters in this genre. I have some of kawe's castings they are a very nice resin of similar quality to the zealot stuff i have. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/we ... rs-in-28mm

Quality definitely looks rather good.

My personal liking of the models are very varied. I think they range from great to incredible boring and odd poses.

The Shieldmaiden kinda looks like she don't give a fraggle. Or she is using her shield as a telephone or a parasol.
The warrior with the spiked club also has such an unmotivated pose.

Then we have the cleric with the hammer and the warrior with the torch. They look so dynamic and exciting. I just want to put them in a scenic diorama!

I dont like em all either, but i have to disagree about the one holding the shield is one of my favorites i like the casual way she has raised the shield to block unafraid and very matter of fact i think it it makes her seem self confident and unflinching in the face of battle shes not cowering behind her shield shes just using a tool for the purpose for which it was made.

I think it was close to being great, but fell short.
The shield pose in itself is great actually. But her body pose doesn't signal any danger.
If she was standing in a rain of arrows she would be crouching or in a more alert pose.

Now she is like... Arrows in the legs? Fraggle you! I don't need legs to fight.

But that what's subjectivity is all about mate |_P

Even when wearing a shield you sometimes have to scratch your head.

To me, that one looks like she is using the shield as a wind-block. Especially when you look at her cloak.

The one with the crossbow and the spike on the helmet...
It's based on a piece of art, right? I can't put my finger on it.
Is it an ogre miniature of old from Citadel?
Where the fraggle have I seen this?

Maaaaaybeeee....?

But wouldn't that just cause her to catch even more wind and blow over?
