The Walking Dead: All Out War KickStarter

Postby Jackyboy » February 20th, 2016, 7:25 am

Hello All

Have any of you pledged on this kickstarter. I have and by god it looks great! The Stretch Goals are making it well worth the price and there is still over a week to go! :)

The game has solo, 2 player VS or 2 player Co-op game modes and the models look fabulous! I wouldn't usually post topics trying to lure people into buying something but this is well worth it! I played the playtest downloadable version and have played it twice with a friend. So far the single scenario they give you has been very enjoyable. The scenery you get with it in stretch goals look great too.

The scenario I have played involves two gangs competing for supplies. The walkers are AI and are attracted to noise; so if you shoot your gun you better be ready to run!!!! There are some good strategies that arise from this.

Check out the kickstarter page and look at all them stretch goals!!! :)

Please let me know what you think of the gameplay if you have already playtested it. Also if you want a chance to win this game you can by heading over to beast of war website and commenting on their play through video

Enjoy and watch out behind you! there is a walker!!!! :fimir: |_P

I don't know how I missed this one... Looks great. Anyone have any experience backing Mantic campaigns from the UK (to the states)? I have always avoided EU projects because of the potential VATS nightmares... Anyone have any experience or advice there?

For Dungeon Saga, they shipped from the states, avoiding VAT entirely.

That's good to hear Slev, thanks. Unfortunately the KS FAQ is implying that it's being shipped from the UK and that taxes are the responsibility of the backer. Never dealt with international shipments before. Anyone else?

my advice would be to post a comment on the KS and Mantic (or other users) will answer you pretty quickly :)

I was lucky enough to grab an early bird pledge as I was following the project on Mantics website. As far as kickstarters are concerned it seems Mantic have sorted out alot of communication issues and have simplified pledges so everyone will get their stuff quicker :) They have a huge IP right here and I am sure they will do everything they can to ensure it runs smoothly.

As I say though the gameplay is great! Go on treat yourself, help us get to $400,000 and we'll unlock Maggie!

Some ice looking Scatter Terrain in there... And some nice minis as well. I was thinking this game and Z-Cide would potentially compliment each other well... TWD has some good terrain and Z-Cide has great tiles...

I especially like that this campaign is based on the source material comic and not the TV series

Not me, not yet... However I have been selective. There have been a lot of Zombie Games in the past 12-15 years... I only play a couple.

Mantic has been the worst customer service nightmare ive had dungeon saga was a mess they changed several items pictured without warning the adventure hardback book was half the promised size and full of typos 5hey offered t8 replace the book but charged shipping for the replacement even though it was their mistake im still waiting on items they didnt send as they sent the wrong replacement parts the first time ive heard that some others have received nothing as of yet. There minis also have an inconsistant scale the dwarves are way taller than hq/gw but similiar bulk the orcs are close but have pin heads the elves are terrible little anorexic fairies the skeletons are much thinner(though i view that as an improvement since hq skeles are as bulky as fully fleshed humans) the zombies in kings of war are probably thier best sculpts to date. The ogres they put out are weirdly proportioned they have chicken legs and hunch backs the best thing mantic provides is large numbers of minis for low prices but beware you get what you pay for
