How are prices there where you guys live? I'm selling Game System + Kellars Keep, allmost all of the figures have been painted and it's now going for 100e.

Prices in ebay auctions for complete copies in Germany are mostly:

Base Game: 35-45 €
Kellar's Keep: 30-40 €
Return of the Witch-lord: 35-45 €
Against the Ogre Horde: 60-75 €
Wizards of Morcar: 70-85 €

Painted Figures or a few missing parts: considerably less.
That's mostly because the minis are very badly painted (and we're talking Revell pink and yellow badly painted here).

Same in the Netherlands, although some are a bit cheaper sometimes, but also higher, depends. I've bought mine for €35,- just the base set. Seen it for €60,- too.

That's right, of course.
A complete copy with a box almost as new is around 60€.

I also sold a Master Edition for more than 100 €.

Okay, there isn't box of Kellars Keep in what I'm selling. It seems that HQ in Finland has more value than there.

I just got myself a base set of HeroQuest. The seller claimed it was complete but the only photo provided with everything mixed together in the box could not clarify that. I asked him but got no response. So I took a risk. I bought it since it was an extremely low price so that even if half of it was missing, it still was a great deal. I got it for 13.32£. Approx; 15.50€ or $20.00. The actual price was 2.50£, the rest were shipping costs.

From the miniatures I am missing: 3 orcs, 2 fimirs, 1 zombie, 1 skeleton, 1 chaos warriors.
Furniture missing: Only the side plastics of one treasure chest.
Cards: complete
Quest book: missing

All in all, it was a pretty sweet deal.

you know, if I had to pay €12,- shipping for a €3,- set, I'd leave it alone lol. Not for a base set. but yes, still a good price, gratz!

However you got it, I would contact the seller one more time, and if he doesn't answer give a NEGATIVE review simply because of bad communication. I have found that there are alot of greedy little pricks out there, mixed among the honest people. A message asking things which is ignored is a warning right there.

I would do that, but it was on another auction site and he was also a newbie there, and I have the sense he might not got an email of the question. Even later on, it took ages to send me the right invoice.

About ebay sellers, I'd like to ask everyone here how they feel about shipping costs. I hate the arbitrary policy some sellers have that if you buy more than one item, they charge full shipping costs for the higher one, and 1/2 of the second one. That's just unreasonable. I always charge actual shipping and sometimes that I get charged at the post office less than expected, I refund a portion, no matter how small.
I recently got a package of two different auctions and the actual shipping costs were $12.75 while I was charged $21.00. I contacted the seller and the reasons didn't convince me so I left low stars on the shipping charges.
I couldn't threaten with a negative feedback, I don't like doing that, it feels like extortion, and the actual items were totally fine anyway.

The shipping prices eBay quotes for anything I've put up for auction are pretty accurate to what Canada Post charges. (a difference of :2cents:

) I assume most people who charge $10 more for shipping than the actual cost are trying to make extra $$ via the price they charge to ship and "handle". I've never charged anything extra for "handling" since all my materials (boxes and bubble wrap) are recycled from packages I've received. The only thing I really need to buy extra is packing tape. For the amount used on the package, it's negligible. I don't have to travel very far to get to the post office either. 3 min drive or 15 minute walk equals no fuel costs.
