I have been working on a way to create a modular overland system to expand the basic Heroquest dungeon system. With this system you can create large overland scenarios.
I am using 6x6 ground tiles (tile grid is 1 inch). My mapping system is setup to fit a 5 tile by 6 tile area. That size fits on one page for printing. The terrain elements are all papercraft items.
I would like some feedback/improvement ideas on the rule system I developed so far. I have used this system about four times and the games went pretty well. I wanted to have a "fog of war" system and take terrain height into consideration.

I use a Terrain Builder system to create the quest's map. That is using Gimp to arrange icons on the terrain map. Here is the Black Mountains Stronghold quest, which is meant to be the first quest of the Invasion from the Badlands quests. In this overland quest, the heroes will need to find the entrance to the stronghold.
