On the website Heroquest reloaded I saw that there's a french remake of the questbook in the European style: http://heroquest-reloaded.blogspot.nl/p ... ssics.html

My question is: is there a remake (EU style) in english?

Not really. I only found this: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=658&p=7189&hilit=+english#p7189 and the upload link is dead.

Here's a link to the Kellar's Keep Remastered thread at the Inn. You can read about the English translation there, but it looks like Gravalion has abandoned his aspirations for completing a finished English tranlation. His site no longer supports the English version that he himself translated and posted there. It appears he has moved on to other projects, including other games. :( You could always bug him to finish the KK Remastered edition in English. I personally would like to see that one completed some day. It was a cool idea.

From there, perhaps another tranlation of the Frozen Horror could come about.

Yeah, I also gave up hope on him translating all his remakes into English. Kinda wonder why he made everything in French in the first place. So much work, and only French people can benefit from it...

But if all you need are EU remade cards, check the cards section, and check my monster cards and spell cards. I've remade all the US monsters / artifacts / spells into EU versions, and tweaked them a little here and there. You should be able to use those just fine with the original US game notes from those expansions. All I left out is poison, as I don't use that in my games (yet). So ignore any poison traps etc. and you're set.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would you want an EU version in English? What would be different besides perhaps the mercenary stats and monster BP? Would you expect the new monsters (Yeti, Ice Gremlin and Frozen Horror) to have 1 BP as well?

well, first off, the US cards look different from the EU ones, and the US games sometimes have additional rules / artifacts / weapons etc.
I've remade the existing US cards, spells, monsters etc. into EU versions, and made a few minor changes to monster stats and artifacts to fit into the EU rules better.

But HQ Remastered takes it a little further I think, and there's obviously a lot of work put in that project, so I'd love an English version.

A big difference of Gravallion's other remake was his artistic contributions. All of the card art was redesigned with color in his airbrush style. This meant no more B&W treasure, equipment, and artifact cards. Card format was also improved. He also was working on new artifacts, tiles, a Dwarf Armory, alternate Quests, and some optional rules created by HeroQuestFrance. These were to be part of a second booklet. Overall for what I edited, he revamped the look while largly retaining the form.

For the Frozen Horror, you could expect the same treatment. The new monsters mentioned may have been useful as substitutions, but I imagine he kept the originals in there. Perhaps he would include [edit] a Yeti fix. Mostly you'd want it as a pimped version, particularly if you needed to print one out anyway. Assuming HeroQuestFrance did work on this expansion as well, then you could also expect a second booklet with optional stuff like above.
