I just got in from 6 days in Bonnie Scotland. 85 new posts awaiting me  Don't know if I will ever get round to reading them all. We were staying in an Hotel on Loch Long, which is quite near Loch Lomond, just above the city of Glasgow. (Any Scots among us) :?: We went on several tours over on the West side, saw lots of Highland cattle, (Hairy Coos, the locals call them). Also a few deer, down from the mountains, they come down at winter time to find grass. also saw one long-tailed Haggis, apparently rare on the West side, mostly live over on the East coast. Lots of porridge for breakfast, with haggis & mashed neaps & tatties for dinner, with whiskey chasers. |_P

German: "Urlaub" (holiday from the job); "Ferien" (holiday from school / family holiday)

near Loch Lomond, just above the city of Glasgow. (Any Scots among us?)
I'm not a Scot, and never been in Britain, but of course I know Loch Lomond (for it's whiskey).

I'm really envious. Took a few free days right now, too, but have to use them to renovate my flat...

Anyway... welcome back! |_P
Have a look ;)

We spent a week in your country, some years ago, camping, visited Asbach, the German Brandy works, cruised up the Moselle and saw many of the beautiful castles along the Rhine. We were based at Boppard, had a great time :!:

Yeah, the Rhineland is very beautiful has the look most foreingers think of as "typically German". There are many other intersting places (and destilles) here, but of course, as with every other country, you can see only so much in one week...
Would love to visit britain one day.
Except for Egypt, which I visit for professional reasons time and again, I've not been around very much. France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy. That's all.
Have a look ;)

I've never been overseas. I've been to a lot of places here in the states, and to canada a few times.
I would love to see scotland and ireland, though...and germany, austria, and greece. My wife wants to
go to italy. If we ever get out hands on a lot of money, I guess we'll be traveling for a few months
checking everything out.

Glad you had fun, though. We just got back home (in virginia) from long island...went to see family.
We had fun...though it was warmer than I had expected it to be for most of the trip.
(I like cold weather)
