Mr. Tough vs the Vanilla Heroes

Here comes a new Hero:
:geek: Mr. Tough
A: 2, D: 2, Mv: 2D, MP: 3, BP: 11

Mr. Tough has no special abilities and is just an average guy except for his 11 Body Points.

For a single quest with fresh heroes, would you prefer Mr. Tough over any of the vanilla heroes?

:barbarian: Will the barbarian's 3AD make up for 3 less BP? Will he kill more monsters than Mr. Tough, so he gets attacked less?

:dwarf: Will the dwarf's disarm trap ability make up for 4 less BP? Will he suffer 4 less trap damage?

:elf: Will the elf's spell make up for 5 less BP? He can heal for 4 BP (or 3 if he heals at 3BP), are the other 2 spells worth 1-2 BP?

:wizard: Will the wizard's 9 spells make up for 7 less BP? He can heal for 2-3 BP and kill about 4 monsters with his spells.

How many BP worth would you consider each hero's special ability and weaknesses?

That's a tough question, Mister. :P

On game mechanics, Mr. Tough wins out. The 11 BP is huge— his other abilities are simply those of a bog-standard Dwarf (without the trap disarm ability). Consider that he can presumably increase his attacks with found weapons and his defense with found armor, helmets, and/or shields, he could be quickly superior to the Barbarian. All he needs is to find a broadsword or a longsword, and he tops the Barbarian as the party Tank.

BP is the golden number in HQ. Attack and Defense are secondary to it.

The spells are feeble (another discussion) in comparison.

 I was hoping it would be.

I came up with this question when reading this great thread about monster slaying cost:

If you can exchange monsters with BP lost, why not exchange hero skils and weaknesses with additional BP?

Yes, with equipment the hero skills become less important and it's all about BP (at least until you stack up on potions). But for a single quest with fresh heroes, wouldn't you choose the barbarian over Mr. Tough?
