MB HQ miniature

What is the plastic used on the original game miniatures? I have never thought much about plastic till now. I always wanted metal minis back in the 90s plastic played 2nd fiddle, but now I just want plastic and do not care much for the new HQ minis quality.

It's a type of polystyrene, often just called styrene so that it doesn't get confused with the foam packaging stuff that is made from the same material.

Thanks for replying thought the old miniatures would be something tougher. I guess the AH minis are some sort of rubbery version.
