It seems way to easy. Is strange to have a quest for new heroes as the first one in a expansion played after another one. And Skulmsr being in prison after he escaped with the Witch lord magic books... Makes no sense.
Ill use it as a base but Ill change a lot of things.

I'll be tweaking mine as well...add a minimum of 200 extra gold (found in notes) for a new party of heroes, what do you think?

To be fair, while it can be played using proxies, if you use the ROTDM treasure cards you may accumulate some Alchemist re-agents for use later... and an Alchemist bench does exist in the quest, so that could be an opportunity to craft some potions (max of 6 if they're lucky). There are enough potential searchable rooms in the quest that a party of four heroes could exhaust the "good" cards in the treasure deck after getting all the quest note treasures. No sorcerer's table for the new Elf bonus.

I guess Zargons out there can try their hand at making a quest in which the heroes capture Skulmar sometime after RotWL but before Knightfall.

I would say Knightfall takes place before Return of the Witch Lord! It only says that it introduces the events of Dread Moon, but not that it takes place directly before!

I wanted to say that in ROTWL Skulmar is frozen in magic ice with his army so... It doesnt fit either. But I botched mynmessage.

I'm glad they at least addressed these plot points (and while not wholly satisfying at least not just an afterthought like they were first presented in the European original printing of Return of the Witch Lord's epilogue), but like several things within Rise of the Dread Moon itself, Zargon may want to read it over beforehand and insert some extra lore to tie things up if that is important to his players, and some of that may be influenced by what order they are playing the quest packs (obviously not everyone is going to own all of them, much less play them all in the "official" order, and even so there may be gaps and questions).

There is a fan made quest pack called “Return of the Witch Queen” where the Heroes defeat Skulmar.
