... what do you use to fix it?

Seriously, I'm really asking. A lot of people have said their remake board rips after a short time of normal use. Besides write a strongly worded letter to Hasbro Customer Care, what are your tips for repair?

If the broken seam is on the black side of the board, i would consider getting that wide brown shipping tape (with the threads in it) and the papery backing. Not a pretty solution, but that is what I would consider. Duct tape might be ok, but that tends to get frayed and adhesive gets stuck on other things.

Someone recommended book binders tape with cloth backing (not necessarily this brand, I see some people on Etsy are selling it in strips rather than the more expensive roll) here or here.

Does anyone have experience fixing game boards with this stuff? I once tried to fix a torn board with electrical tape and it didn't work. Masking tape (and painters tape) are not ideal for this solution and Duct tape is just ugly. Gaffers tape is another temporary solution (not meant to be permanent).

I have had pretty good luck repairing game board boxes with Gorilla wood glue on the corners, but that's with a component that isn't meant to be constantly flexed like the board seam is...

Perhaps the wood glue could be used to join the damaged section on the "picture" side (if needed). If the TAPE is being used just to fix the back side and the tape is the only thing holding the board together, then it would probably start to peel off the layers of paper that constitute the board over time, so use of this glue in some area or another might be needed (since you don't want to glue the board into one solid piece, because you still want to be able to fold it up and put it away after use).
