I am playing Heroquest 2 on an Amiga and I need some help on one of the quests.

I am playing this game on the Amiga. I am in Quest 2 I believe where you need to cross outdoor water areas on grey stepping stones, but they shock you and you die! How do you get across??? Also I ran in to this green king creature that magic won't touch and he kills all the Hero's. Do I not need to worry about him?

I haven't played this far, but are there are actual wooden bridges over the water? If so, try crossing there.

Question... do you need the Spirit Blade (found on altar) to kill "ghosts"?

There are no wooden bridges and I watched a youTube vid of a guy crossing them and it was like he had a map to get thru them.

Time to start asking around, posting comments... I have tried in vain to find online guides for this game!

Seems you must find the wood bridges to cross the river. You can watch where they are in the video.

So they're not magical bridges, but maybe the "rocks" are just decoys and not the proper way to cross?

He did have trouble with that one monster (a weird hooded figure with a tail hanging out indoors) and I didn't watch enough to see if he ever figured out how to beat him (many spells didn't work). I would guess it's probably like the Witch Lord where only one particular item can harm him (maybe you have to get it on the next quest?). The Spirit Blade seems like a good one to test if you have it. Or maybe he's vulnerable to one particular element? Toss Holy Water on him? Just guesses.

OK finally got it. There is a lizard king guy you have to kill and then he drops a map to get across. Once you have that there is a golden trail to follow across. Got over finally.
