Hello,
I have been looking for a list of the original cards that went with Heroquest. I have looked around on the web but can't find a list of the cards. Trying to make my own and see a lot of cards here on the Inn but not sure which were the originals.

Depends. In the UK there were two editions, the second substituted two duplicate cards for new cards in the equipment deck. The North American version had a different setup and the Japanese edition another setup. The Brazilian edition had cardboard instead of plastic for miniatures and furniture (?).

Generally though the components are the same, other than the cards and tiles.

The 2021 Remake Edition is the same as the NA edition in quantities except the Potions from the various expansion book "Alchemist Shops" are turned into equipment cards plus Bracers and Hand Axe are added back in.

(In the remake edition these are actual cards, one for each hero and also four "rule" (Action/Turn) cards; in the classic version there are four rectangular character boards instead... the NA edition has a different design for more square boards with the rules on the back instead of blank)

A tip.. on the Inn page any section that lists an author's name, those are homebrew cards converted from other editions. For example the "chaos spells" were never in the EU edition originally (alternate versions of the spells and some new ones appeared in the expansions however). Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord had no extra Artifact Cards in the EU editions. The NA editions of these expansions that came later added small cards that were part of the back cover of the quest books (to either be cut out or photocopied).

As before the text on the cards and designs vary from region to region. The NA cards are larger in size as well (the Remake cards are Poker size, the biggest of all).
