Hasbro Cards PDF for Print and Play

Postby SummitDrive » July 27th, 2022, 4:18 am

Hey I brought a copy of the Avalon Hill HQ as a retail return from an online auction site.

I got it for a steal but it was missing the character sheets and cards - all the cards. I didn't realise this until I opened it of course.

I asked Hasbro if they could supply but they were no help. Is there a PDF floating around somewhere I can print out ?

cheers,
Ben

There isn't one here at the Inn. It is against the forum rules to post material from the new edition here.

You can print out all the cards you'll ever need from this site, but they will be the original style from the 80's release

Firstly, that's unfortunate that the missing cards were not mentioned in the auction.

Secondly, cool that you received (presumably) the rest of the content for a good price. There are plenty of useful tools in that box.

Lastly, while not ideal to be missing cards, there is a simple if time-consuming DiY solution that will make the game playable. That is to document the data from the cards you can find around here for HQ Classic in a word doc or similar--then use that for reference.

I love the cards, however at my table I have prepared "Character Sheets" that include the spells for spellcasters, any Hero abilities, and so on. So when someone is playing a given Character, they have all the info in front of them. They also have areas for tracking other info like treasure, potions, scrolls etc. Additionally, I have tables I've created that list everything that is found on a card, and keep it all in a small binder... So list of spells, list of Potions, list of Armor, and so on--with full descriptions.

It took time to put together, but I find it useful.

And to be clear, I'd be heartbroken if I didn't also own all the cards, but I actually use them less than one would think.

Success to you in finding a solution that works for you and your group.

Contact the seller. Sounds like they'll be getting negative feedback... at the very least they owe you a partial refund.

I modified a scan of the original character sheet and used my meager skills to resize it so four sheets print out on one letter-sized sheet of paper. The quality isn’t the best, but it works. I could dig it up if you like.

For cards you can try eBay. Sometimes you can find a complete set of game system cards for cheap, but it’s not very common. It doesn’t hurt to look at least before considering printing your own cards.
