Background and Backstory of the Heroes

What is the background of all the Heroes from the new HeroQuest? The only thing I have been able to glean is from the Quest books. Which is not allot.
The Barabarian is from the north, Nordlands.
I would love to write more background, about the heroes personality, I guess I could just make it up for my players. I want to give more to my players, just to make the game more fun, as it is very d dimensional.

I'm not sure if we have anything more clear than that. A fair bit of what we had from the original still works, but … it was never very detailed and the stuff from classic expansions that hasn't (yet) seen re-release is not considered canon for 2021 yet by Avalon Hill. That's partly because they've gotta examine stuff carefully to see what they can't really leave as-is because it's basically GW's lore.

The one thing we know for certain is that there will never be Fimir again. Not ever. Elf adventurers everywhere grateful. (And THAT joke right there is why they wouldn't be coming back even if GW didn't own them…)

I sort of figured it's kinda like Doom: There's not much backstory because one isn't needed. I'd certainly be open to more story and worldbuilding though if Avalon Hill wants to go there. (I would love to see them formally adopt "The Gathering Storm as the name for the mainline quest book because it fits so well.)
