Ye Olde Inn

I most likely won't be able to attend GenCon this year (it's too long of a drive and I'd have to take time off to attend, plus press badges are a little pricey for my budget). From what I have read it's part fan convention and part trade show. Most of the sessions are like $2 or free. So looking at some of the schedule it appears there are people there just playing HeroQuest at a lot of them, classic or remake.

Is anyone here going? Sources say that Chris Nadeau of Avalon Hill will be showing the Frozen Horror remake there, and I'm guessing (assuming, hoping) that the Rogue Heir of Elethorn will be as well.

Would be cool to hobnob in person with other fans and perhaps spread the good word about the homebrewing community and our concerns about the new sets in the fan community (no brawling!).

We should, whether officially or unofficially, send our own reporters to this convention to get the inside scoop on the contents of these packs! Is anyone willing to go and report back?

If they let you take photos or video, send that our way... if not, at least get verbal reports of what is on those cards, any changes, any leaks or future plans, etc.

I'd still like to know what TEXT (if any) has changed on that BQP quest book and cards... and what the Rogue Heir cards actually say. *


* I mean besides the obvious word substitutions like "Chaos" being changed to "Dread" and "Empire" changed to "Realm" and "Fimir" replaced with Abomination (removing GWS terminology).

That was fast... so now that we've had some unboxings of the Frozen Horror Remake, no need to have that reported on, just waiting on the Rogue Heir of Elethorn and any additional insight or news on any official errata...
