Anybody going to GenCon in August?

Hey there, I was wondering, is anyone going to this convention? I have never been to one (I've been to a few trade shows in my time but never this one, or rather a fan convention like this).

But how cool would it be if we had YeOldeInn "reporters" going? That could send back pictures, videos, reviews? A little shout out and representation?

I know with my HeroQuestFans twitch channel, I would be happy, depending upon the time of day, to stream people if they send us videos or want to live stream stuff through our discord.

Just throwing out ideas. If anyone wants to try to do something like that, please contact me via PM or find me on Twitch or Discord. Unfortunately it's the middle of the work week for me when the convention is on so I might not be able to do much live to be honest, but maybe another member would? Or have an "after action report" or something? We could interview a reporter and talk about what they found maybe. You could be on camera or just voice if you prefer.

Looks like most of the events are free or $2 and go for 2 hour sessions. I guess people are just playing the game or demoing it, different editions.

It'd be great if some of the community were to get some coverage. Not to mention that it would be an excellent opportunity for a potential meet-up for those interested in such.

Sadly, I will not be going. I've never been to GenCon, so I'd love to go, but not in the cards this year. I used to do a lot of conventions back in the day, so I've got many fond memories, but nothing in over a decade at this point.

I hope that the Inn indeed has some envoys for the con, and that you're able to coordinate with them, Kurgan. If it becomes a thing, I'll gladly enjoy watching the coverage after the fact on the YT VODs.
