Okay. I have a new quest idea and would like some imput
Check this video out. Its a Dungeons & Dragons Online quest and it inspired me to turn it into a heroquest quest. It is sort of like a 'defend the castle' like quest, with waves of enemies. I was thinking that instead of a crystal it were a person or a scroll with a new spell in it.

I have done one myself using the castle board from a set of the dragon lance board game. I can't say how it works because my group have not reached the level. What happens is a group of enemies start in the corner rooms and try to get to the heroes. The heroes can choose which rooms they want to start the quest in and can also move furniture against certain doors to block the path of the monsters. the heroes objective is to escape.

Those are both great ideas. It's have the Emperor or Prince Magnus trapped in an Imperial Fortress on the outskirts and waves of monsters trying to get him. Perhaps have a chart of some sort to roll on Zargon's turn to see what kind of monsters and how many are coming. Roll a Red and White Die together. Red being the number of monsters and White being the type. Something like Skull for Orcs, White Shield for Fimir and Black Shield for Chaos Warriors. Something along those lines. Upscale or downscale the monster types depending on the experience of the Heroes.

For Ethica's quest, the Dragon Quest Board would be perfect. Been waiting for a great way to use it.

That's the board I have. Found it, along with the game (which is just paper minis and cards) in a charity shop for £1 Squares are a perfect size and the layout is quite interesting, especially the bit which obviously must be used as prison cells.

So, what about a Dragon Quest Icon Pack for HeroScribe?

That would make up into a great gaming board!! Does it need more corridors to link the rooms? A lot of rooms would be entered one from t'other, not really authentic for castles. what do you think?

Nice board, but I don't see how it would be superior to the original HeroQuest board for a "Defend-the-something" type quest. Indeed, for that type of quest idea, the HQ board is actually suited better, with a big center room (to set up the defense) and all corridors leading to that center.

So I would suggest to open a new thread regarding the dragon quest board, it's possibilities and it's technical implementation and leave this thread to the defense of the crystal/prince Magnus/some person.
